Sample was limited to fifty respondentsand data were collected by interviews. To start with, 50 different phulkari motifs were gathered and out of these, 10 were selected for further study. Thirty placements of cushion covers with different styles were designed and ranked by the respondents for selecting four most preferred placements of cushion covers. Four different techniques of cushion covers were designed by one preferred motif. These embroidered and printed cushion covers were finally evaluated by the knowledgeable judges of Home Science Department in Guru Nanak Girls College on the basis of appearance, workmanship and placement of designs.
