It is a matter of great pride for us that we are launching the fifth edition of the alleviation: an international journal of nutrition, gender & social development. It is a peer-reviewed journal with international editorial board established in 2014 by Arya PG College (College with Potential for Excellence Status by UGC), Panipat , Haryana, India. The main focus of the current issue is Women’s Work and Occupational Health in the Unorganized Sector.
The current issue highlights the quality of living and incidences of poverty of women workers in the unorganized sectors, innovative practices by grassroot women of Uttarakhand, role of women entrepreneurs in the glory of Madhubani folk art of Bihar, unnoticed plight of female domestic workers in Odisha: explaining the silence, involvement of women and men in household activities and knowledge regarding drudgery reducing technology, assessing the performance of time and resting period between different activities of brick kiln workers, empowering women of rural unorganized sector through digital transformation, role of ergonomics in clothing and textile industry, role of women entrepreneurship in Indian economy, impact of musculoskeletal disorders on the health of farm women engaged in rice transplantation, role of women in decision-making related to farm activities: a case study of Fatehabad and Jind district of Haryana state.
